Hi there! My name is Meghan Caprez, and I’m a professional communicator.

There are three things you should know about me, right off the bat:

          1.       I am a thoughtful, driven optimist known for exceeding objectives ahead
                     of deadline.
          2.       I do not know everything about integrated marketing communications,
and I will never know everything about integrated marketing communications,
but I WANT to know everything about integrated marketing communications.
          3.       At some point, I will probably try to show you pictures of my dog.

I received both my undergrad and graduate degrees from Kent State University in Northeast Ohio, where I studied public relations and communications, respectively. But I didn’t stop learning after I left Kent State, and, thanks to the dynamic nature of the communications industry, I will never stop learning.

From the time I stepped into my first internship as a college freshman, until my current role at the Walt Disney World Resort, I have developed a diversified skill set that allows me to see the world through the eyes of a writer, an analyst, a designer, a photographer, and more. Most importantly, though, I have a knack for seeing through the eyes of an audience.

I’m a passionate advocate for communication informed by its audience: what it says, what it thinks, and what it does. When research is at the heart of strategy, tactics shine. I aim to execute tactics that shine for any organization at which I create.

I'm also passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and beyond. As a cisgender, straight, white ally, it is my responsibility to educate myself and others so we can make positive, actionable change for those in communities that have been and continue to be discriminated against. One way I do that is by leading the global Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Communications and Public Affairs book club. We read and discuss own voices books from diverse authors so that we can learn about and better understand other cultures and communities.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, creating TikTok videos about the books I read for my 20K followers, viewing musical theatre productions, and hanging out with my chihuahua Mia (named after the incomparable protagonist of The Princess Diaries).
